Intent

Waitlist privacy

Last updated 2 November 2026

This page covers this website and the Intent waitlist: what is kept when you join, who else handles it, and how to leave. The Intent app has its own policy: the app's privacy policy.

Who is responsible

Ramon Tsagkarakis, based in the Netherlands, runs Intent on his own and is its data controller.

What the waitlist keeps

Before you confirm, Intent keeps nothing. When you press Join, it sends one email to check the address is yours; Resend, which delivers it, keeps its own record of that email (see below). Until you confirm, the address only travels inside the link in that email, sealed so it cannot be read and valid for seven days.

When you confirm, your email address joins the list, together with when you agreed and when you confirmed, the exact wording you agreed to, which link brought you if it carried a label (for example the one on Instagram), and when the welcome email went out.

When you unsubscribe, the address stays on the list marked as unsubscribed, with the date, so it is never emailed again. To have it removed completely, email the address above.

Technical data: ordinary server logs from hosting this site, which include your IP address. When you press Join, a check by Vercel looks at signals from your browser to tell people from automated sign-ups.

Visit counts: Vercel Web Analytics counts visits to this site's pages, and Vercel Speed Insights measures how fast they load. They record the page's address without its parameters (only a link's label stays, for example the one on Instagram), the name of the site you came from, your rough location, your browser, device type and operating system, your connection speed, and the page's load and response timings with which part of the page they concern. Neither uses cookies or stores anything on your device. Vercel tells visits apart with a code made from the request, thrown away after 24 hours, and nothing is linked to you as a person. The pages your confirm and unsubscribe links open carry neither.

This site has no advertising and does not follow you across other sites, and it builds no profile of you. Nothing about you is sold, and nothing is shared beyond the services listed below.

What the emails are

Your beta invite, Intent's launch, your founding-member offer and training tips. Every email has a link that unsubscribes you in one click.

Why, and the legal basis

The waitlist rests on your consent: you press Join under a line saying what you will get, then confirm from your inbox. You can withdraw it at any time with the unsubscribe link; that does not change the emails already sent.

Keeping an unsubscribed address marked, so it is never emailed again, rests on legitimate interests: respecting your choice. So do server logs, the visit counts and the check on Join: keeping the site online and fast, knowing how many people it reaches, and keeping the list free of fake sign-ups.

Who else handles your data

Each of these acts on instruction:

That is the complete list.

Data leaving the EU

Resend, Vercel and Cloudflare are US-based providers, so your data may be processed outside the EU and EEA. Those transfers rely on safeguards under each provider's data processing agreement, including EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

How long it is kept

Your address is kept while you are on the list. After you unsubscribe it stays, marked, only so it is never emailed again, until you ask for it to be deleted. Server logs, visit counts and speed measurements are held by Vercel for periods set by its own retention policy.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask for access to what is kept about you, correction, deletion, a portable copy, a pause on processing, or object to processing based on legitimate interests. Email privacy@trainwithintent.app. To stop the emails, use the unsubscribe link in any of them.

Complaints

If you think your data is being handled wrongly, tell me first at privacy@trainwithintent.app. You also have the right to complain to the Dutch supervisory authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
